Barmer GEK - Company Archive
Challenge
In 2010, Barmer GEK was formed out of the merger of Gmünder Ersatzkasse (GEK) and Barmer Ersatzkasse (BEK). The new joint company archive of Barmer GEK (BG) was to be built upon EMC Documentum and EMC Centera. Operation of the company archive and of support had to be taught. The challenge: an average of 320,000 new documents and 18,000 users per day.
Solution
Prime Force, together with the customers of Barmer GEK and the computer centre operator gkv Informatik, developed the architecture in architecture workshops and undertook the restructuring of the server, storages, the network and EMC Centera. Prime Force was also involved in the Go-live in July 2012. Currently, Prime Force ensures third level support for Barmer GEK.
